This new modern home was conceived as a well-proportioned composition of brick and glass cubes. The cubes are stacked on one another and shift back and forth to create overhangs and add depth to the façade. The red brick speaks to the architecture of the surrounding neighbourhood and the floor to ceiling glass permits natural light to reach deep into the interior. Custom metal screens were inspired by branches and add a layer of detail which softens the cubic form and provides an element of privacy.
